Clean Crumbles

Our Story

Built from scratch. For all of us.

Clean Crumbles didn't start with a business plan. It started with a birthday cake.

On my dad's 42nd birthday, he needed a cake, there was no one else to bake it, so I figured it out. A rainbow trout cake, made from scratch, completely self-taught. That instinct — just figure it out — never really left me.

Mary, owner of Clean Crumbles

For years I navigated life with celiac disease and a stack of intolerances that made eating out feel like a gamble every single time. I learned to read every label, question every kitchen, and mostly just go without. The place I always wanted didn't exist yet.

So I built it. Clean Crumbles is that place — everything here is something I can actually eat, which means it's something you can too. No exceptions, no compromises, just food that actually tastes amazing.

Before the doors ever opened, the Traverse City community wrapped their arms around Clean Crumbles, and continue to support in ways I could have never imagined. The cafe you walk into — the plants, the light, the warmth — this place feels like my home and I welcome you in!

This is my dream. It still is, every single day.
